dvd across two monitors?

Anyone know how to do this? I know I can stretch mpegs across two monitors if I disable overlay, but is it possible with DVDs?

Yes, but you can only do it on an NVIDIA or Matrox card that supports spanning (ie, treating both monitors as one giant desktop instead of as two separate screens). It also won't work (I'm pretty sure) with hardware assisted decoding, as the hardware decoder can't split its output onto both monitors.

Of course, even if it *does* work, you've got a big gap in the middle of your 'screen'. But if you had a Matrox G750, with triple monitor support...

thanks for the feedback, I have a radeon 9800pro, so looks like im out of luck. Looks like I will have to go to nVidia next time for multimonitoring's sake... spanning mode, dual dvi ports... maybe ati will figure it out before i buy a new card.

I have watched mpeg movies across two monitors, though, and I think it is really cool. The gap in the middle doesn't bother that much. It will be even better when I have two LCDs with thin bezels...
