I have an old HP dv1000 a 14.1" wide laptop 1.8ghz p4 with 512mb.
It now randomly looses power. Some wire is loose.
Time to get a new laptop.
I used to play PC games but now just have time for Xbox. However, I have missed out on RTS' and find myself on planes a lot.
Thus, I would like to find as mobile a computer as light as possible that I can use to play some games. No 17" laptops and I'd rather have the depth / height to be minimal so it can fit on a plane food tray. I'd also like something like the old gateway computers which I could remove the dvd drive and put in a 2nd battery.
I've been away for a while and can't seem to figure out what I should be looking at. I would like to be less than $1500 before sales tax.
