I'm looking for video editing software and a capture card for some home movies. I was looking at a Pinnacle's Studio DV version 7 and it said it came with a DV/FireWire capture board. I know what firewire is and my camcorder doesn't have it, it does have the 3 red, white and yellow connectors and want to know if those connect to the DV part of the capture card. I ask this because I'm not quite sure what DV is. If not is there any way to convert the connectors into DV?

DV stands for Digital Video.

If you only have RCA jacks on your camcorder then you'll need a video capture card with those. I don't know of one off the top of my head though. Sorry.

Oh, maybe on of the WinTV's?
