DV Firewire Video Kit? Recommendations?

I just go a MiniDV camcorder w/ fire-wire capability. I really want to make use of the Fire-Wire and get some of the video onto my computer, but I know nothing about what's out there as far as DV editing kits? So far I've looked at Dazzle's kit, it seems decent? Has anyone had any experience with this stuff? I don't want to spend more then a $100 if possible, and it has to operate under Win2k.

I use StudioDV from Pinnacle Systems. It's a great program in my opinion. I have tried a few different firewire solutions and have been most impressed with pinnacles product. However, as of now, it does not work with Win2k. Im under the assumtion that most firewire home prodcuts don't work with Win2k though, they're mainly a Win98 product. Buy.com sells it for around $85, which is a good price. Hope that helps.

Pinnacle Studio DV can be had for as little as $50. Version 1.05 is Win2k compatible.

I think it was staples or office max. I'm not really sure as it was right after thanksgiving and I was a shopping machine. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I take it everyone recommends the Pinnacle Studio DV vs the Dazzle Editor SE? (Just asking since that's the one I have, but I haven't opened it yet. I'm looking for the pinnacle one as of now.)
