A friend of mine gave me a DV cam she was going to throw out because the tape mechanism crapped out. I can still capture live video to a comp via firewire though. So I could just use it by carrying around a laptop on my back and use it as the recording medium. But I don't want to get the thing out and open it up every time I want to rec/stop.
Is there an app out there that can start/stop DV capture when you hit the REC button on the camera?
