Just recieved a brand new Canon Optura 30 from the states and having an issue with it out of the box. Camera was purchased less than 2 weeks ago.
Seems like there are some weird Christmas lights looking artifacts or noise showing up on parts of the video in both the Card and DV mode. I even notice the noise while previewing on the LCD. Its very noticeable on digital images.
I bought a DV cleaner and it didnt resolve the issue. Im wondering if the camera is defective or if a setting could be changed.
Now heres the problem. The camera was purchased online in the states and sent to me over here in Japan. I have a project thats gonna begin in a couple of weeks that requires the camera. Wondering if Canon can fix it over here. Or should I return it to the reseller if its defective. Anyone have a clue whats causing this issue?
