If such a beast exists.

I really really like the iMovie & iDVD interface, but what I dont like is how slow my G4 powerbook is rendering the files. Since I have this big, fire breathing dual core PC, I was wondering if some similar software exists for PC.

For those who arent familiar with the iLife suite,
I just bascially want to take DV home movies , put them on a timeline, edit, maybe add some titles and transition effects, then create a DVD with Menu's, Scene Selections, Etc. Im not really interested in any super duper professional stuff that has a really steep learning curve.

Any Suggustions ?

Different interfaces, but Sony Vegas Movie and Pinnacle (Avid) Studio Plus are comparable to iLife. Both do HD. Adobe has a Premiere light version that is in the same class but only does Standard Def DV. Ulead has a package too, but I have never seen it. All are in the $50-100 range. Demos are available for some of them.

Ulead VideoStudio (or possibly Ulead DVD Moviefactory 5) probably offer the nicest interface at this time...
