This is the Dutch Dolly that I remembered being used by a piano mover. It seemed like it was simple, ingenious and practical.

Well, it looks like the company that imported them went out of business according to their non-existent web site ( dutchdollycompany.com ) and the last activity that I see is the Ocean Bill of Lading.

handtrucksrus.com has something like it, but the tires are different. Has anyone here used this model before? Is it worth buying for moving things around your house?

Trying to find out the name of this hand truck was a considerable undertaking. Finding the "Dutch Dolly" on Google is even more difficult. There's so much crap to wade through.

I've always heard them referred to as a furniture dolly or flat bed but, they're available in all shapes and sizes. You could even replace the wheels if you can't find exactly what you're looking for so, I guess it depends on what you want to move and how often. The companies that supply institutions have any number of different versions available.

I'm moving and storing hundreds of pounds of rubber fabric in the small confines of a garage. I need something like the dutch dolly that my wife could move on her own.
