I am a system builder who specializes in pre-tested overclocked systems (based in Montreal, Canada) I'm a netadmin 9-5, but own my own company and sell several systems a month. I had been working with Celerons to offer FAST clock speeds at affordable rates. I now have my 1st 2 Duron systems ready to go (this is not a sales pitch!) Bridged the L1's (tricky but you develop a "method") they're 800's@1000mhz. I am VERY happy with these machines. Nothing goes out of my shop before it's thoroughly tested and i have worked with themm both extensively. EXTREMELY stable and very fast, Using an EPOX 8KTA+ (which I'll probabaly use more of) and the 1st one's an ABIT KT7. These are great. My customers trust me, if i tell 'em that the Duron will mop the floor with a Celeron at the same clock speed (which is common knowledge) they'll believe me.

Now I'd just like to see a slew of SiS730 chipset boards by various manufacturers out with multiplier and VCore options so I can reduce my prices and sell badass systems cheap.

I wonder if the TBird 800's go as well as the Durons...I have a feeling not.

BTW my own machine's an Intel P3700@980......over to TBird soon, I imagine.

yep, the Duron sure is good value for moneys :D

out of 5 Duron 600cpu's (later weeks, I got the last of them)

3 cpus made it to 1000mhz @ 1.80v (I dont usually go over 1.80)
2 made 950mhz @ 1.80v

all on Epox 8KTA+ m/b's (also great value as far as socketA features goes)

so yeah.. durons rock :D
