Duron works in A7V, yet Athlon doesn't...help..

So I am swapping my Athlon 1ghz chip into an Asus A7V to replace my Duron 600mhz chip. The Duron is working fine in there, posts and everything. I remove the Duron, put the Athlon in, clear CMOS, and boot it up, yet it won't post at all. This is running the board in jumperfree mode, which works fine with the Duron. The Athlon chip works fine because it is running in my Iwill mobo system right now, which I am typing this from. Can anyone inform on what the heck I should do to get this working? Thanks in advance!

Make sure there isn't a jumper for 100/133MHz FSB operation. If the jumper is still set to 100MHz and the CPU is a 133MHz FSB CPU, then that could be the problem. I doubt this, because it should still boot at a lower clockspeed. It's worth a shot...
