Duron with Silver Orb and 40C at 600mhz

I have abit kt7 duron 600 and it runs at 40C, system temp is 26C. What can i do to take the temp. down?

Are you using the default thermal pad on the chrome orb? Did you "cook" it in, by letting the cpu hit 58C(I can't remember for how long, but if you find DaddyG, he knows for sure).

Also, you're probably not gonna get that much of a temp drop with a Chrome orb even after cooking in the PhaseChange Thermal Compound.
