Grr, this problem started recently, and I have no idea what brought it on.

Pic of DX Probs

The last time I had this prob was when I played UT awhile back, and a reformat fixed this prob. I ran into it again with the No One Lives Forever demo. I installed it and ran it all I got was a bunch of changing resolutions with a black screen. Checked dxdiag (refer to pic) and found this. I've tried using 6.18, 6.31, and 7.17 with both DX7.0a and DX8RC1. System config:

Duron 600@997.5mhz
Asus A7V
256mb Micron PC100
6.4GB WD ATA/33
20.5 WD ATA/66
CL Anni Pro (Geforce DDR)
SB Live!
HiVal DVD
CL 4224 CDRW
Win2k SP1 (also tried without SP1)

Somethings royally screwed up alright. Dxdiag should at least be reporting the amount of memory on your GE Force instead of n/a. With a TNT2 Ultra and GE Force II MX Win2k and dxdiag has always worked properly for me once I've installed any of the nvidia drivers instead of the junky ones Win2k installs by default. My best guess is you've got some bios settings way wrong (init first PCI instead of AGP and others).

Currently AGP is set to init first...I'll check that. I'll also dl a bunch of dets and try those...I really don't feel like reformatting....
