In my country the Duron 750 MHZ costs U$ 42, and the Thunderbird
850 MHZ costs U$ 95.

I know that 43 dollars is not much to care about but I am wondering what performance gain are you to expect expending that difference.

Any approach to this problem you can give me your advice ?

Thanks in advance Gustavo.-

Didn't you post this yesterday? You will get a significant performace boost with an Athlon at the same speed as a Duron so comparing a faster Athlon to a slower Duron is a no brainer. Is it worth the extra money? I think so.

It depends on what apps. you are running to see the difference. A Duron is a fine processor for most apps. and by most I mean 90% ! If you do a lot of photo editing, video editing, or a big 3d gamer get the tBird. If you do a lot of web browsing, word processing, or file sharing get the Duron.
