I got the deal from buy.com and got all the good stuff. I have an abit kt7, alpha pal 6035, mushkin pc 133 222 ram...... My cpus are both week 29's and will only run at 850mhz. 98% of the time it seems stable but sometimes I get weird stuff like the keyboard sticking and repeating letters. Or the usb steering wheel light goes off and I have to reboot. What would be the performance difference if I bought a t-bird 750 and tried to overclock it? Are the chances that I would have better luck or not? I know I could sell these for the price that I paid for them. I have someone buying one already. What do you think?

I just thought I would be able to get to 900mhz. My 3dmark score seems low too. Of course I do have a voodoo 56 and not a geeforce gts 2. My score is around 3200. Is there any real difference between 850 and 900 or 950? It seems the fill rate of the video card is at the limit anyway. thanks

overclocking is....well, overclocking. Unless the chip says "900mhz" on it (meaning, that while the multiplier is set at maybe, 8, it says 900mhz on it), then you are going above and beyond specifications. Never fully expect to be able to overclock. There were even some Celeron 300a's that wouldn't overclock. They were few and far bewteen, but they did exist. If you can overclock your chip at all, be happy.

So true are your words! I was one of the unfortunate people who got a 300a that would not overclock. It would only do 374mhz. I bought another one and boom! 450mhz right out of the box at 2 volts. It worked great until I got this system.
