Duron retail HSF

I have my FOP32++ coming in the mail and I should get it today. I also have arctic silver on it way.

I got my duron 600 yesterday and couldn't wait to try and fire it up. Well i made it to 800 at standard voltage(didn't have time to try higher yet).

My question is how do I remove the retail heatsink without damaging the duron. I had a hell of a time with that thermal tape when I removed it from my celeron.

Thanks,

Jim

These Durons are made to get hot. Very Hot!
While they are within specs even at 90c, they should perform
fine at anything under 60c. Remember, the fan shipped with
the Duron 600 is the same one that is supplied with the T-Bird
at 1ghz, and AMD is confident enough that the fan will cool to
1ghz that they give a 3 year warranty.

After checking results posted on the net, it seems that even
with a good aftermarket fan, these CPU's run at 48c to 52c,
in "most" instances.

Currently, I am running a 600 at 896mhz (112x8) and 1.7v.
Temperature is solid 53c, using stock HSF. Also, this thing
is much more stable than ANY PC I've ever seen, even at this
temperature. But, since I would like to shoot for something
higher, 1 ghz (using 112x9), upgrading fan will probably be
nessasary.
