I bought a KT7A and a 800MHz duron.
When I boot the computer it says DURON 800MHz(100*8.0)
Then it says CPU is unworkable or has been changed. please recheck CPU SOFT MENU. So I go into the bios and it is set for a 500MHz duron I change it so that it is set for a 800MHz duron.
When the computer tries to reboot the monitor never recieves a signal. To use the computer agian I have to clear the CMOS. When I do that it is agian set up for a 500MHz duron.
any help would be appriciated

try loading the safe defaults in the bios, don't know just how they word it but it should be an option. if that fails to get it going you may want to carefully remove the HSF and remove then reinstall the cpu.
