My chip does 850 fine and i had it on 900 for several days. The other day I had it going full blown for several hours and when i rebooted it locked in windows while at 900mhz. I have backed it down to 850mhz. This has to be a heat problem. I only have one fan in the bottom of the front of the case. I have now added one in the front at the top. I really do not think this helps the cpu which is at the back. Should I make a hole in the case and put one in the top near the sucking air out or in? I think I need better case cooling. My two motherboard monitor temps for the case are currently on 22c and 27c. Thanks!

i use a cheapo $15 vantec (about the same as coolermaster) heatsink fan, and the case off.

54C MAX load on warm day. 100x9.5 ROCK solid.

Gonna sell my PC100 sdram and go for 1000mhz

1.9V

im using a global win fop 38, and i have it at 39 c right now. its loud, but it does the job. also, i can only overclock my cpu to 850 so far. the only reason i cant get it higher is because my vcore voltage doesn't wanna stay at 1.85. it wont reboot :(

I use one 80mm fan in the front, one 80mm fan in the back and one 50mm fan on my Alpha heatsink.
I remove the side of the case on warm days and my CPU temp never exceeds 41c.

You didnt change the voltage at all??? I'm not calling you a liar but OC 400Mhz without changing the voltage is hard to believe...

See the sig? it says 1.75 volts, stock is 1.5v.(or 1.6v can't remember)Edit

just FYI, my Duron will run 1.1gig at 1.85volts but runs quite hot even with the Alpha and I am very happy with 1gig.

I have the same results as celery550. my week 31 Duron requires default voltage of 1.6v.
I did 1Ghz with 1.75v. Only thing that didn't work at that voltage was Prime95.
Could play games & others stable at that voltage.
Now i have it at 1.825v & it ran Prime95 all day long fine.
