Duron OC no 0.5 Multiplier steps possible???

Just get my KT7and a Duron 700 (Week 44). I unlocked him, but the Duron doesnt recognize the .5 steps. So if i try to get 9.5 I get 900 Mhz if I try 8.5 I get 850 Mhz? What the hell is up? If I look in windows, I have the same 900 Mhz eg 950. If I try it using it with FSB, theres no problem. (but he doesnt like more than 105 Mhz FSB?) So I can't get more than 945 Mhz (1 ghz Bios Checksum Error.)
Why cant I get an .5 multipler??? I have the newest UZ bios.... Duron unlocked...... ???
Could anybody help me??

You might need to check to make sure your L1 bridges are connected properly and completely. This would cause it.

You need to redo the L1 bridges. Make absolutely sure that all traces of pencil/loctite were removed before doing it again. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean that it isn't still here. Rubbing alcohol worked well for this. Also don't use the pencil method for long periods of time. Loctite is cheap and easy to use if you can work quickly before it dries.

Loctite comes off easy with solvent like Goof Off or maybe Goo Gone. I don't like rubbing alcohol because of it's affinity for attracting moisture. I just use solvent.

I had a real problem with the pencil trick. Couldn't OC beyond 900 MHZ without lockups. I am now at 1130 and thinking about trying for 1200.
