the highest i've managed to go with multplier is 8.5x, and i'm currently sitting at 910MHz, FSB/PCI @ 107/35mhz, vcore @ 1.85

does ne1 have any idea why i can't get higher than 8.5x???

cheers in advance!

COME ON YOU GIG!!!

from what i've heard, 1.85v isn't enough juice to get socket a procs very high in most cases. you need more than that to hit a ghz with a duron 600. tomshardware showed how to increase voltage availablitiy on a k7v; i wouldn't know how on any other board

What's your CPU's default speed? And what mobo are you using? I have a KT7 that ran a D600 at 900. For the last 5 weeks I've had a D700 at 1083 on the same board (103*10.5@1.85v).

it's just luck of the draw
I've seen posts at amdzone about 600's that had a hard time running 700 stable, I got lucky with mine at gig at 1.75volts.

Yep. Sounds like a combination of the bridges not being completely connected and the processor maybe reaching its max potential.

If the bridges are connected OK, the 9.0 multiplier should be available and functional, seeing you can get to 910 by FSB. Try redoing the bridges.

Also, what week is your CPU? You may be nearing your limit.

it's a week 46 Duron 700

i've re-pencilled the L1 bridges, i now have 9x multiplier and currently FSB at 103, so i've got 928.

i post at 9.5x100, but freezes at Windows Splash Screen
