Duron Morgan Core problems

I recently got a 1.1 Duron using the morgan core. I unlocked it via pencil and oc-ed it a measly 100 mhz cuz with anything more I was unable to reboot. and at that temp it would run at around 109 F. So now it won't let my run @1.2 anymore and occassionaly bios says that the CPU is unworkable, in which case I clear the bios. Any suggestions that would give me a more permanent remedy to fix my problem?

one of my friends said that the pencilling job wasn't done right or badly. so its not working. could that cause my problem?

Why yes it could. Time to break out the old eraser!

I got a 1gig Morgan core that will do 1.2gig but not dance at 1.33gig. And my AGOIA core 1600+ will only go 1.65gig stable. I feel your pain.

But I only paid $18 for the Morgan and $40 for the 1600+, so I can't complain too much.

109f is nothing for temp. Pencil mod some voltage to the chip. I beleive Morgans run 1.75 default, so set it to 1.8volt and see what happens.
