I currently have a celly 566@850.... I also just bought a KT7 wiht the isa, and a duron 600 @ 1ghz........ I can notice a differnece between the duron @600 and the celly at 850.... Go with the duron, I'm going to be selling my old BH6 and Celey @ 850 after christmas... for another KT7 and duron system...... cause THEY ROCK!

If you don't absolutely need the ISA slot, go for the MSI Pro2 or Pro2a. The celeron2's performance, esp. at higher FSB speeds, really sucks. Mainly due to the cache. The durons do about at the athlon and the PIII equivalents (or my scores or messed up), for a much lower price. Until companies (esp. intel) get done w/ Rambus, it looks like AMD is the best for your money.

Ok, i have placed the order (finally). I went with the KT7-RAID, Duron 650, and FOP-32. I bought it at a shop i've used before, with very good ratings. Total price incl. shipping: $290. Neither the mobo or cpu were in stock, as with a lot of other places i looked, so i'll probably have to wait a week or so for the stuff to arrive.

Still need to burn about 8gb (at 2x!), before i can set up the RAID.

Thanks for all your advice, and wish me luck.
