Duron & A7V problems

Hello,

Got a Duron 650 and Asus A7V mobo. When I plub in the power cord the power will not go off unless I unplug it. Start and reset switches do nothing. I also do not get any video out--using leadtek tnt2.

Suggestions?

By default, you need to press the power button for four seconds before the power turns off. As for no video, check to make sure that all the components are firmly seated. You should also make sure that you only have the minimum components. Any additional components would increase the likelihood of IRQ conflicts that would cause the board to not boot.

yeah, I'm aware of the 4 second delay for power off, and reseating, etc. I'm new to Asus, not to building computers. I've read now that this is a major problem. The asus mainboard listserv is swamped with people having the same problem. Boards are going back.
