Well I just got my duron a7v combination, unfortunately its the without dipswitches and has onboard sound. To make matters worse, it was a pervious RMA (the documents were inside the box!!!
And they charged me 18 bucks for shipping whe the receipt stated 10.
(Stay away from Micro pro!)

Anyway. Since i have no soldering or electronics ability, i cant modify my board. I would like to know how whioch bridges to connect in order to overclock it.

if i connect the L1 bridges, does that mean it will default to some low speed if i dont have external multiplier control?

If i dont conenct the l1 bridges will i still be able to use the jumpers on the motherboard and in the bios for voltage control?

Connected it will run at default. Unconnected, external mult switches wont work. I've got a better idea. Return the board, and insist on a brand new one, and for their deceit they should pay shipping both ways. This is a clear case of fraud. Send the paperwork you found along with the board, but be sure to make copies for yourself. Keep a record of who you talked to, the date and time, and what was said. Or you can insist on a refund including shipping and buy elsewhere. Almost all or maybe all newly shipped A7V's have the mult switches.

A quick trip to resellerratings.com could have saved you some frustration with Micro Pro...I had personal negative dealings with them and obviously many others have also from their sh**ty rating, especially when dealing with returns....GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

Henry,

This is your MOTHER speaking, return the BOARD and NOW. Call your CC and cancel the charges. This is an OLD board, you paid for a new board, that's what you deserve.

Sh*t yeah, I would return it after he ships you a new one and you get it first. If not do what DaddyG told you call the Credit card company and kill the charges. I recommend Computergate.com thier prices are low and shipping charges are decent. If you buy more the shipping will turn out cheaper. Bought my processor, mobo, cdrom and soundcard there. They actually went back to the warehouse to check what version mobo for me.

Don't be a wimp!! Have them cross ship you a new one without shipping charge, and have pick up the old board at your expense or send you a prepaid mailing sticker. Stand up for your rights. If you dispute the credit csrd charge, they will be charged an additional $20. Are you waiting for this board to fry your CPU as well?...that would be your expense to replace. you want the version without built in sound...it will have the multipliers.
