duron @ 900.. how can you tell when its stable?

Hey all, Just starting OC my duron tonight (finally unlocked it) and worried about heat and keeping it stable. I got the core @ 1.70 and seenm to be working fine (computer I am using). Right now its sitting around 45C after about 1/2 an hour or so of doing nothing, but surfing. I would like to run it though a check and beat it up a bit to make sure its going to be stable. SYS2000 does not like my video card so are there any others out there that work good on W2k?

well if it never locks up on you then it is stable, if you don't want to download anything, just set up quake3 in a botmatch and leave it running, if it is still going 24hours later then it will be good enough for just about anyone

or download and run 3DMark 2000 loop.

after that get RC5 and start cracking for TeamAnandtech!!

Prime95, RC5 and UT are some good stability tests.

I wouldn't use 3dmark as a stability test(often it won't work at the best of times). Get a stabilty test the CPU Stability Test by Jouni Vuorio is good and provides a near foolproof certificate. I can't remember where I got it from, but a search would probably find it.
