I am wanting to get a duron 900...i also want to use my existing PC133 RAM. In the future I want to get a Athlon 1.33 Ghz. I don't need RAID. I was looking at the different motherboards out there...too many choices...KT133...KT133a...KT266...VIA...ALI...AMD. I don't want overclocking. Any suggestions? I was reading that the Asus a7v supports 200/266 FSB but so does the KT266 boards...is the difference the DDR RAM with the KT266?

yeah kt266 boards support ddr ram

kt133a boards use pc133 (and still have very good performance)
if you want to keep your existing memory and not buy ddr your best choices (in my opinion) are asus a7v133 and iwill kk266

if you want ddr i would say get asus a7m266 or epox ep-8k7a

yea that looks like a good motherboard...i think that is what I want...but if i am not overclocking...do i need a heatsink and fan on that northbrige chipset? I got a blue orb fan that I can stick on there if needed anyways. thanks for the input...and info

if you dont overclock the fsb you wont really need any cooling on the northbridge,
