when i did a benchmark at 1026(9.5*108) i found that the memmory score is higher than 1040(10*104) but the cpu and cpu multimedia benchmark is lower at1026
is there anyone can shed some light which speed should i keep??
If both are stable, then go with the 1026. 14 MHz will not get you much with a Suron when you are over 1GHz, so its fairly pointless. With the higher FSB, at least some of your other components will be going faster too.
When you run at a faster FSB, your processor, RAM and all components in your system will be running faster, when you use the multiplier, only your CPU is running faster.
Another thing is with the Duron with its small cache, at over 1GHz, any increase in the clock speed doesn't do too much. Consequently, the 14MHz will give you almost no speed boost at all.
