Does the t-bird give you any more bang for the buck? Is it just as easy to overclock one as it is the other?

Thanks in advance,

with the duron you're looking at ~10% less performance(correct me if i'm wrong) if you have the cash and need the power, get the tbird, but if you're strapped for cash, a Duron will do just fine :) i think they overclock similarly :)

The T-bird is faster because of its cache. The duron gives you the most bang for your buck if you are on a low budget.

Also, other than performance, the Duron is known to overclock better. The Tbird average is +100, the Duron is +200.

the duron overclocks better because of its lack of cache, meaning there is less memory that needs to be able to be overclocked.

In my limited experience the Duron is easier to O/C and if you're mostly into gaming and surfing the extra cache on the Tbird doesn't buy you much. If you're into heavy imaging work, etc. then go with the Tbird. Either will smoke a comparable P3 in most benchmarks. My personal systems are a P3 and a Tbird at the moment.
