[! this might be a repost. i tried to search... but didn't find one. !]

oem duron 750

The AMD Duron 750MHz CPU is a system pull and is OEM-boxed. Package does not include a manual, fan, or heatsink. System does include Superscalar floating point unit with Enhanced 3DNow!? technology.

1. find and apply 20 off 50 for overstock.com at www.jumpondeals.com
2. find duron 750 49.00 at www.overstock.com
3. 3.95 s/h

49.00+3.95 = 52.95 - 20 = 32.95.

i thought i had to order 50 or above to apply the coupon, but at 49, it worked for me. it shows that today is the last day to purchase this at this price.

Thanks for letting me know that the $20 off coupon would work without having to bring the total to $50. I was thinking about getting this Duron from Overstock for over a week now but I just couldn't find anything else on their site that I wanted. I never thought to try putting the order through at $49. $33 for this CPU is definitely a good deal.

This looks like a great deal. I'd be tempted to get one, but I want to throw out a quick warning. I got 2 mobos from Overstock and both were DOA. I'm not sure where they get their stuff from, but this is just a reminder that it is a used piece of equipment....it'll prolly be alright. And for $32, you can't go wrong. 😉

I ordered the 750 last night but thought I needed something to get me over that $50 hump so I ordered the X-Mex DVD for $15 so my total for the processor and DVD was $47 bucks. I like the movie and $15 for a DVD is a pretty good deal, most times they are $18 to $24 in my local stores (BB, CompUSA, WIZ...ect)

LOOKS LIKE THE COUPON HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 6/22/01

Can any of you recommend a cheap, but decent quality motherboard to go along with this chip? I wish I could have gotten in on that 800 MHz Duron + FIC mobo from Fry's for $99, but I'm nowhere near one.

ocnewbie...

if you're not too concerned about the highest of the highest performance... (meaning if playing 3d games is not your major concern) ... look into some sis730 chipset based mobos.

my pc-chips m810lmr is solid stable and it comes well equipt on board.

it's not as fast as 133a mobos. but for $70 it's hard to beat.

If you clicked the coupon link, gave your email addres and set up an account you should see the coupon show up as "Order Discount ($20.00)" when you go to check out. You will only be able to see it right before you have to give your CC# when checking out.

I just thought I would mention that if anyone is worried about this being a system pull, NewEgg has the OEM Duron 750 for $45 shipped. The extra $12 is definitely worth the peice of mind.

Might be worth using the $20 off on something else.

This might be a stupid question, but does anyone know if the Heatsink and fan on my k6/2 450 will work with this duron?

You can get the Epox KX-133A (the 8KTA3) board for $100 shipped from NEWEGG. Probably best deal around for a high quality board.

I'm not worried about it being a pull...chips rarely die in my experience, so it's either gonna be fine, or it will be DOA and I'll get another one.

of course the part of my order i do not care about....x-men dvd has shipped but the processor is still in process. I hope I dont get back ordered and then screwed!!!

Duron 750 might be sold out, but the Duron 700 is still available at $47.
There's also a Promise Ultra66 PCI Card and Mobile Rack for $24.

I don't know about you, but I also added X-Men as the coupon doesn't work under $50.
