Duron 600 default core voltage: 1.5v VS 1.6v: mine is week <32? its 1.5v....does that mean i can OC more?

just wondering what the default voltage is for a 600.....i mean, i thought it was 1.6v, but my mobo reports that its 1.5v default...can someone clarify this for me? thx ;)

UPDATE: daddyg said its under week 32 so its 1.5v default...does that mean i can OC it more and why? thx ;)

Experiment a bit. You may have some additional headroom for speed vs temp Sounds like something fun to play with. Good Luck

BTW My Duron 650@650 rus at 1.6 and stays in the 37C range, my 1G T-Bird runs at 1.75 and likes to settle around 55C. Go figure, someone out there must have some statistics on this.

Default voltage for Duron 600's is 1.5 volts. On the core, you will see something like this:

D600AST1B

S = 1.5v, which is the default operating voltage of the chip. If it says U, than the default voltage would be 1.6 volts.
