IM tring to figure out if it makes any difference at all running at like 115 FSB instead of 100 Mhz fsb?? Its running at 110 FSB @990 MHz and benchmarks are the same.

I'd like to know what you comp up with mustang, right now I'm at 10x100. If I should change it around to 9x110 or something.

I dont know I think I will just leave it at 100FSB I just had chip up to 1050 but had to bump up Vcore to 1.8 and temp sored to 118 not worth burning up chip for extra 50 mhz. It runs at 1.7 at 1GHz and around 109 is as hot as it gets. I benchmarked systen running at 110 FSB at 990 MHz and was no better than 1 GHz at 100 FSB. I think you have to get in the 133 FSB range for it to have a positive affect.

yeah, I'm running 1 GHz right now at 1.750, so I'm pretty sure if I bump up the volts to say 1.825 or 1.850 I could hit higher MHz but there's no point. I doubt I'm using all the power right now anyways.

Having the FSB at a higher speed, even a slightly higher speed, will improve the overall speed of your system, as your memory, video card, and other peripherals will all be running at a faster speed. Even an FSB of 103 will make a difference, although it may not necessarily be noticeable...

If you think that you're not using the power that you have now, then you both definitely need to get those machines cracking SETI!! :D

On my abit I have the ability to overclock only the cpu's bus speed leaving PCI/AGP bus 100/3. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

You will always get better overall system performance by using a combination multiplier/FSB overclock. See my sig below. I would much rather run at 982MHz with my FSB at 109 (105/35 + 4), and my RAM at 144MHz CAS2 Turbo, than a GHz with the FSB at 100 and RAM at 133. Make sure that your RAM is set at Host CLK + PCI CLK. If it gives you trouble, try bumping your I/O voltage to 3.40.

EDIT: I have my multiplier set at 900.
