Duron 1GHz Upgrade

I'm currently running an AMD Duron 600MHz on a Gigabyte GA-7ZM motherboard with the KT133 chipset. The BIOS has never been updated (dated 5/30/2000 IIRC). I'm looking to upgrade to a Duron 1GHz, but read in some review that older Socket A motherboards may have trouble with the updated core of the 1GHz Duron.

Is there anything I should be concerned with beforehand, or should I be able to simply drop the new CPU in and be on my way?

Just contact your motherboard maker and get the newest BIOS and flash utility.
There werent as many problems running the new cpu's , but recognizing them as XP's.
