Duron 1.8 Applebred or 2000+ Thorton for upgrade

I have a 1700+ @ 1900+ speed and I am thinking upgrade now that I am getting a Radeon 9500pro. Is a 1.8GHz duron Applebred a good value and overclocker? I am looking at spending just over $50 and I am looking at either a Thorton 2000+ or the Duron. Which overclocks better? I realize it aint really a big upgrade but it's what I can afford and I have need of a spare CPU (my old 1700) for a third system. So what way should I go? Also which chip if any is more likely to be unlocked? How hard is it to enable the extra 192 cacheon the Duron?
