I finally took the plunge, and it WORKED!
I scraped away some of the surface of the bridge with a razor blade and just filled it in with a pencil (#2 if anyone's wondering). After a few tries the Duron was no more, and became a shiny new XP 1900+ that runs on 1.5V
. Seems perfectly stable at stock speeds, now for some OCing...
Screenshot
EDIT: Seems stable at 2600+ speeds (12.5x166)
EDIT2: Running at 2.3GHz (11.5x200) without a problem, we'll see how stable it is over the next week or so.
