This is for my parents PC (big time web surfing machine and about nothing else cause they dont know how... :) )

The Tbird would be a 200fsb cpu not a 266... And will be on an Iwill 266 (Sdram board)

I`m leaning on the Duron mainly because it should run somewhat cooler... (hot here in TX)

Opinions...?

get the Tbird
the added cache and increased FSB will make it a better performer
there won't be any noticeable heat difference between the two

Both are good chips. If it was me Id probably lean towards the T-Bird, but they do run a tad hotter. But since the T-bird is only running at 200FSB I dont think you would see much of a differance between the two benchmark wise. Leaning towards the Duron might be a good choice for you since its so hot where you leave. Also the duron requires less power so that might also help from PS issues depending on what PS your using. Isnt making a decissions a pain sometimes? :)

Good Luck!
