Duron 1.1 and passive cooling

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811195027

my linux box (router and sandbox) is in the above case and uses a duron 1.1 processor. The case's one 60mm exhaust and the 50mm CPU fan are two of the loudest fans I own. I was wondering what you guys would reccomend to be the cheapest, most effective way of quieting this system down.

I have never seen slient 50mm fans for sale anywhere so I was leaning towards going passive, but that would require more powerful exhaust and a very carefully selected HSF for fit. I can't imagine finding a silent 60mm fan either....

I use one of these Cooler Masters on a 1.3Ghz Morgan and one these Thermaltakes on another. I can barely hear them myself once I close the chassis.

I had that chassis as well (Aopen version) and it does tend to get noisy. I couldn't really do much since I sold it to a client and didn't want to muck with it as it was already sold.

IIRC, those are Low profile PCI slots right? If not, you can skip the whole 60mm job and just get 1 of these. It'll move more air in measure than the 60mm rear exhaust
