During the holiday season do you find your mood to be. . .

I'm forced to associate with my family more, so I voted grumpy (despite the fact that it's partially offset by higher levels of drinking).

It's weird because Christmas for me is one of those holidays that sneaks up on you. I'm unfazed until about 2 days before hand when I become passive-festive

i love to see my family, but christmass is a marathon holiday.. drive to other side of state christmass eve for a big party, go another 50 miles christmass morning to one, then chirstmass afternoon to one, then back the 150 miles to home. overall its usually not too bad, unless the weather sucks.

Grumpy, it gets stressful dealing with all the relatives / presents, in addition to the advertising bombardment.

Ramadan is already over, why are you posting this afterwards? Anyways, I'm not usually affected by it.

For me it's kinda split. I'm excited about seeing my sister and cousins/extended family. My parents are a different story. That and just being in my old house brings up mucho bad memories, even if the house is empty. Even of the holiday itself. That said I've got nowhere else to go (can't stay in the dorms during Christmas), so I'm kinda stuck. It's a hell of a lot more complicated, but that's the micro-nutshell.

I suppose you could describe my mood as conflicted/uncertain. Depending on how things snowball, I could run the gamut from festive to survival.

Cycles between bouts of joy and extreme pensiveness/melancholy. There's just something about Christmas Time that makes me want to drown my sorrows in beer, in a wood-paneled dive bar decorated in those old big-bulb Christmas lights, while listening to Elvis' Blue Christmas. Then stagger out the bar into the cold Chicago winter, and walk home in the snow with my friends, nose red from the wind and the liquor.

Unfazed. I would've voted hornier because I'm more active and running around, but it wasn't an option...

It is my favorite time of year:

Lots of family get-togethers, which I actually enjoy;
My birthday at the end of the month;
I like the weather (Southern California winters FTW);
Lots of days off (Thanksgiving, Xmas & New Years);
Lots of football (College and NFL).

What's not to like!?

How about stressed? Or sick of your crazy family? Is sick of your crazy family even a specific emotion?

I mostly just get FREAKING tired of the music. Everywhere I go, listen, it's yet another inspired take on Frosty the fucking Snowman, haven't already heard THAT one eighty times this week!

I've been grumpier ever since christmas lost its magic sometime in high school. Now that I can actually afford to buy things I want...there's not much to look forward to in the gift department. But it is nice to see other people happy.

Grumpy because Santa is never going to give me a gift anyway after finding out I screwed Mrs Claus.
