Edited title as way too inflammatory.

I wonder how many animals the U.S kill each day to feed our appetite for steaks, pork chops, fried chickens, just to name a few.

Yes, because killing animals to eat and slaughtering them for "sacrifice" are exactly the same.

There's plenty of reasons to legitimately rail against the superstitious practices in various religions, but railing about the slaughtering of animals is not a logical choice. Not when multiple times that amount of animals die every day in slaughter houses around the world.

True.. feeding living humans is a travesty...

It's a shame that Hindus don't actually eat the animals they sacrificed. Muslims sacrifice many millions of animals during Eid-Al-Adha, but the meat is distributed amongst everyone, especially the poor.

Weak. Everyone knows real gods are only appeased by human sacrifice. Step up, India!

/religion is stupid and animal sacrifice is even more stupid.

What a sick fucking practice; and yes, it would be much different if they ate the animals after. I hope the animal-rights groups succeed.

It is true.. I am so disgusted by organized religion... HATE IT

Especially when I cant draw a cartoon of one of them without expecting to receive death threats.. what kind of fucking sick morons claim they are religious and then shout death threats

I'll give you this dahunan, at least you are hating on all religions today. Very refreshing to not just see the usual attacks on Catholics or Christians.

For some reason this does not bother me. Go watch some videos on slaughterhouses. And then go eat a burger afterwards.

So you're saying slaughtering millions of animals is necessary to keep our humans fed? We are certainly at a point where we can survive without meat (and actually a LOT of India is vegetarian, so I guess it balances out).

We slaughter animals because we prefer the taste of their flesh over other options to feed ourselves. I think that's worse than a true believer sacrificing one! You do it for temporary satisfaction. They are doing it for eternal happiness.

I doubt The Father of India would approve?

So do Islamic terrorists balance that out by killing people from other religions?

Hinduism is extremely complex. Large no. of hindus are vegeterian and even killing insects is considered a sin, heck even cutting trees is a sin which if done should be atoned for. So before you guys start blaming Hinduism I suggest you read up.

1. As stated previously, one man's outrage is another man's sin. Imposing your moral values upon others should logically leave you open to others imposing their moral code upon you.

2. Even dolphins kill for sport. Killing for the sake of killing isn't exactly new or limited to human depravity.

3. In practical terms, the only difference between slaughtering animals for sacrifice and slaughtering animals for food is whether or not the body takes a side trip through your digestive system. In religious terms, the important difference is whether god is mad at you.

4. When it comes to wealth, the grass is greener on the other side. However, when it comes to religion, the other side is always hell.

5. I doubt the issue of whose religion is the one true religion will ever be solved until after everyone involved is dead.

Its not Hindu religion, its a small part of it, only certain sects of the religion do it. A major part of Hindus are vegetarians too - this does not mean all Hindus vegetarians. You will also find Tantrics who eat corpse - this does not mean all Hindus are cannibals. In India the perspective of religion is totally different. Its not about one god or one holy book, we have more than 3000 gods and several holy books spanning over thousands of years. In India any religious practice is more of a cultural thing than religious.

OP you need a much wider understanding, a much bigger intellect to even start understanding Hinduism. Your rant is very similar to what we hear from Pakistanis ever day, it does not bother us, but you should change your attitude towards others if you want to do something meaningful with your life.
