I'm trying to run a SATA Raid 0. I've run the Seagate install utilities, partitioned, and selected one as a boot drive with no problems, and the array appears during boot up but XP is blind to it.

IT7-Max2 v2 has Sata raid?
I thought it only has IDE raid through the Highpoint chipset?

When you ran the Seagate utilities, it saw the entire Sata raid size?

Youll also have to install the drivers during install by pushing F6 and providing the drivers on floppy

The only way to run SATA on the Mobo is in a raid array. A single drive won't work.

The seagate utilities only would allow you to recognize 137GB of the 160GB Drives. I was going to allow XP to repartition.

I'd be happy install a driver, but that seems a little hard without a OS unless you mean to put a boot diskette with raid drivers on it and install from that.

I would have thought SP2 would have all the latest and greatest.

Press the F6 key at the beginning of Windows Setup when you're prompted, then give it the necessary SATA RAID drivers on a floppy diskette when it asks for them a little later in the installation.

You're my hero

You'll laugh, but that prompting was totally out of the screen because of screen resolution.

Nope SP2 wont cut it for installing onto a raid setup, still need the F6/floppy process for that
