I just saw his comment wondering why the Duke lacrosse players would hire lawyers if they were innocent.

Does the Constitution not apply in the South? Or is common sense just completely dead? Did this man actually go to law school?

Stupid media posturing. The police wanted DNA from all the players. The players say the DNA will prove their innocence. Whether or not that is true, the police chief said "We still have a very good case without DNA" (paraphrasing). Well, you collected DNA cause there was some on the woman. If it turns out that the DNA on her was not from a player on the team, then it sounds like that is a huge dent in your case.

Not saying the players did or did not do it, but some of the quotes in this case are weird.

I thought I read the DNA swabs were judge ordered, not volunteered.

How the hell does a judge okay an order to collect DNA from over 40 people because a stripper/probably sometimes prostitute makes a rape accusation with no other incriminating evidence?

Well, that's a given.

It's obviously political grand-standing with a racial twist, given those involved and the state he's in. I just feel like the state's treatment of the case so far has gone way too far.
