Durabrand 5.1 Surround Sound System for $44.83

heh, I have this for one of my kid's TVs. It is actually pretty decent for the price. But why pay shipping when there's a Wal-Mart on practically every corner these days? 🙂

I wish there were a wal-mart where i live(new york city) I would have been there in sec to get the system..

There are no Sprawlmarts near you? I'm moving there! I feel dirty whenever I get dragged in one of those holes.

Ours is turning into that.

I have this setup for my 30"WS HDTV. For $45 it sure beats the TV speakers by 100%

if it has 100% of the value of your tv speakers then ... its equal to them

Actually, if it beats TV speakers by 100%, then its twice as good.

A few years ago I was the Electronics Dept. manager at the local Wally World, and the Durabrand/Funai/Sylvania etc stuff had a pretty high return rate. I would definitely NOT mail-order that stuff.

durabrand is very generic, my g/f bought a CD player from evilmart and it went bad. might want to be careful buying these.

I have a Durabrand 5.1 set, and it even supports an optical input, at least the model I have, and I've had no problems with it so far, and I've had it for over a year now.

This set doesn't even support true 5.1 surround. It doesn't have a digital input to receive a 5.1 signal. I worked at a Wal-Mart last year and they sold this model and I even bought one and returned it instantly once I figured that out. Older Durabrand models do have Dolby 5.1 optical input, and work quite well for smallish rooms.
