Durable 2.5mm Stereo Cable

I'm looking for a solidly built 2.5mm stereo cable. I'm going to be using it with my Xbox 360, and it will run from my 360 controller to the mixamp for my headset. As such, it gets moved around a fair bit, and may occasionally get stepped on. Over the last six weeks or so I've broken three different 2.5mm cables. However, the 3.5mm cable running to the headset itself occupies basically the same space, and has not broken once. I'm guessing that the thickness of either the wires themselves or their insulation protects them from breaking.

Anyhow, I'm tired of buying a new 2.5mm cable every two weeks. I searched around online, but couldn't find any 2.5mm cables that looked tougher than what I've been using. Is there anywhere I could get a tougher cable? Failing that, what else could I try? I've been considering plugging a 2.5mm to 3.5mm converter into both my controller and mixamp, and then running a 3.5mm cable between them, but that seems messy.

Sorry for taking a few days to respond. I got kind of busy the last few days.

Somewhat embarrassingly for me, it looks like the cable was not actually the problem. I actually did have one break on me almost a year ago, and it caused identical symptoms, so I assumed that it was the cable again when I started having problems this time.

In fact, the real culprit was the controller. I just replaced it with a new controller, because the old one had been acting flaky in another way (it kept momentarily losing its wireless connection to the Xbox console) and suddenly my headset was working perfectly. I guess the controller's wiring or 2.5mm plug must have gotten dirty or messed up somehow.

Nonetheless, thanks to all three of you for your help! I'll keep monoprice in mind for any future cabling needs, even though it turns out I don't actually need anything from them just now.
