duplicate network exists

i get this message duplicate network exists and a little yellow yield sign in the bottom left corner of my windows desktop when i use a VPN client that i need to access a specific server. it only happens with my main computer and not my laptop so i dont know why it is happening?

Never seen that message before, but I'm imagining that you have duplicate subnets perhaps, per adapter?

ipconfig /all and paste results please. Including when VPN is up.

I've seen "duplicate name on network" before but not that message.

how do u get the information to stay on the screen
when i run ipconfig /all it does its thing so quick that i cant read it

and im sorry it does say duplicate name

You need to pull up a command prompt first by typing 'cmd' then in the command prompt you type 'ipconfig /all'.

As far as the other issue goes, are you sure that the name of your PC doesn't match one on the remote network?

Change your computer name to something other than rex though it's a bit hard to imagine that there is a machine named rex on a .gov domain but it is certainly possible. It will tell you if that is the problem anyway.

well the government must have a rex out there
who would have guessed it

anyone know how to make sure u have all of your previous java versions removed

im having another prb getting a web based prg to run that uses java and i think i just havent complete uninstalled a previous version

control panel add/remove prg seems fine but im suspicious something is lurking
