Duplicate entries in ATA/ATAPI IDE controllers

Hey all,

On my gf's computer, I looked into the device manager and there are duplicate entries for the ide controllers.

It appears like this:

Primary IDE channel
Primary IDE channel
Scondary IDE channel
Scondary IDE channel
Intel(r)80821EB controllers
Intel(r)80821EB controllers

intel drivers are installed. never saw this before.. is it normal?

My board is an ASUS P5GDC-V and it has the same thing. For me, the second one listed is the "real" one. When I was first setting up my system, I kept deleting them to see if they would get recreated normally, but it keeps putting two controllers there.

Doesn't seem to hurt anything.

Could it be the SATA controllers?

computer works fine here too. Guess its normal.
