My first Hot Deal so please be gentle.

At EBC Computers
they have 128 PC133 Micron or Siemens RAM for $85. I dunno how that works, must be luck of the draw. I have bought from these guys many times and are great. I dunno if you want to save on shipping and I get enough interest I will go down and buy and ship it to you guys. Once again I don't know how hot this deal is. LMK.
Thanks

I live in Salt Lake. This company is pretty good, but they're very business like and not very customer service oriented. It says 6/7/8 ns ram based on stock but I bought some pc133 micron that's 7.5 ns and doesn't do cas2. Also, they charge more if you use a credit card than cash or check.

Just some info

Yah it pisses me off how they charge you more for a credit card or check. They usually have pretty good prices on everything though. I buy there a lot but are very slow in the store sometimes. I didn't even think to check their reseller rating. I will have to check it out.

I used to have a hard time loading EBC's website until I switched ISP's then it was fine. I think charging more for using a credit card or check should be illegal.

That's stupid. Is it because people can dispute the charges if they decide on screwing someone over?

I don't know if y'all are aware of this but:

1. Charging more for credit card orders is a violation of the merchant's terms of service with the credit card processor. and

2. It's ILLEGAL to charge more for different means of payment. Why do you think gas stations don't do it anymore? It was legislated into oblivion.

That is true, depending on how good a bank they have they can pay up to and maybe more than 5% of every purchase to the credit card, why do you think VISA and Mastercard make so much by doing noting( they don't have credit cards anymore, they just let banks put their name on their cards and keep a % of the money for nothing)
So take it easy and don't act (or be) so stupid if you don't know the whole story.

They can't charge more for credit cards but they can can give "cash discounts" or say that all prices are quoted with an x% cash discount and then charge you more for credit card.

Doesn't matter. By the book, it is a clear cut issue: charging extra for credit card payments is a clear and obvious violation of the merchants' terms of services with the credit card companies.
