With their iced tea, they brew it extra strong and dump it on ice cubes, which melt pretty much immediately. But isn't iced coffee supposed to be brewed cold?

Do they just pour hot coffee on ice cubes?

It's kept cold, then poured on ice. Regardless, the ice is going to melt anyways and water down the coffee.

Starbucks might not taste as watered down because they use a darker roast.

wait...what?

my guess is they brew it in and then cool it or refrigerate it. they don't poor steaming hot coffee over ice. it isn't very strong coffee though.

get the iced coffee turbo, that shot of espresso makes the coffee taste strong.

Hey, fellow S. Carolinian.

A friend's wife makes the coffee, freezes it in trays and uses those cubes with her morning jolt. Makes too much sense or too costly for a restaurant to do it.

If you put coffee on ice, what do you think will happen?

at starbucks, they brew their ice coffee blend at double strength then pour it into a pitcher of ice.

dont get me wrong about dunkin donuts.. for the price i paid, i would go a block out of my way and buy again
