Dungeon Siege II (PC) $34.99 free shipping!

I was a fan of the first one. Great graphics, I loved the "pause and rotate" feature for planning attacks. Decent story, a bit week on the characters. Chris Taylor knows how to make a great game.

I played the demo for DS II this last weekend, and I wasn't impressed. The graphics and interface seemed to be a step back even to the first one, in my opinion. Seems like a good deal on the game, but I'd recommend playing the (1.5 GB) demo first to judge for yourself if you haven't played it yet. The September issue of PC Gamer, if you can find it before the October issue goes on the stand, has the demo on the DVD if you can't download it.

I am almost through DS 2 and I have loved it so far. It is VERY similar to the first one but with some nice additional touches. These include slighty nicer graphics and a cool feature where you can see the impact of a new item/weapon/armor before equipping it, so there is not more guessing if it's better.

I totally reccomend picking this game up. I liked it enough I actually went out and bought it after getting through the first third.

Bumping for a good game. It's definately got a different feel than DS1, much more interaction with your character. With DS1, you pretty much guided your character through the world and most of the fighting was automated (can be turned on via options in DS2 for autoattack). With DS2, you have to manually (by default) control your character for each attack which is definately a change.

My only gripe about this game is the 4 player limit on multi-player, but other than that, a fantastic hack and slash.

thanks for the headsup!!

I was actually surfing around to find a deal better than BB's price ($39.99) and found CC's instead. I didn't even see this thread at the time, but am glad someone posted it anyway. 🙂

Like Hender mentions, graphix wise it seems as though it's a step backwards.

I was hoping for better and also better resolutions as well, animation of the chars is just as crap as the first one. I mean when they are talkin there's still no visual vocal animation whatsoever !
