Dungeon Siege Demo

Just played the demo version of Dungeon Siege and noticed how easy it is. Is the real game just as easy? All you needed for the demo was to start as archer, and pick up another archer (first person you find), a fighter (to take hits) and one healer (sorcerer). Put em on fire freely and you can just sit back while they clean it up.

If the full version isn't more difficult I'm not really interested in playing that.

The baddies get much tougher, but then again so do you. I really like the game. I've been playing on normal with just a single melee character. He dishes out a ton of damage, but goes through alot of health potions when groups of ~15 enemies rush him.

I found the roaming perspective to be unwieldly. I've never been a fan of third person games.

I was going to tell you how incredibly difficult the game is, but then I remembered I really suck at these types of games and most people would find them a lot easier. But I do recommend the game. Even though I generally dont like these types of games, I'm having a lot of fun playing it, and its so pretty! And the sound is great. I like it a lot.

i like the game a lot.. but you're right, it is pretty easy in terms of taking out baddies... things do get harder later on.. enemies get harder, and there are more of them... it's much like diablo in that sense.. i mean normal act 1 and 2 are easy as hell... no way you can't win... i personally like the game.. and the graphics are amazing

If you're not careful your guys can get overwhelmed and beat down fairly quickly later on. But no, it doesn't get too much harder through act 2 I don't think. Unfortunately this was one of those games I played for a while, put down for a couple days, then promptly lost interest in.

It's pretty easy for me, I almost done with it and really never took a huge hit, my guys always live through it. The only guy that has died on me is Merik, and I just re-revive him. 🙂

I played the demo and liked it, so I picked up the retail version (on sale for $29, and I had a gift certificate from Xmas still). I was just playing it a bit this morning, LOL

I use the first guy by himself as well, and I have a bunch of mules in tow carrying all my loot. He has become pretty tough so I can do it with just him, and only use health potion on rare occasions (even though I carry 5-6 big bottles and about 15 little ones, just in case...)

I never liked these games much but this is kind of fun to explore with. I will go back to my Ghost Recon and flight sims when I get tired of it.

I've been playing with one character and a couple of mules on difficult level and it gets pretty tough by the time you get into the swamp. Got frustrating enough that I started playing multi by myself because you can build your character on the same enemies over and over, but you can't save your progress. You can enter the game at advanced points, ones you haven't even gotten to when your character is advanced enough. I'm up to strength 46 on my melee character. In multi, there's a whole new world.

I played the demo and then bought the game ($29 the next day) It was everything I wished Diablo II would have been but wasn't. Excellent game.
