Dungeon Defenders

Get friends and play is key; pub playing is absolutely horrible, with people bitching and complaining about what turrets used where.

Sorry to resuscitate this thread, but I am having major problems with the pub community too. It has gotten to the point where I just farm the same levels over again in single player split screen to get items and quick exp. I now have over 300 hours in the game, and I would guess only a fifth of those were used in really fun multiplayer.

Nobody uses their mics and strategy is rarely discussed, especially with the low character limit in the built in chat.

Every once in a while you can find a great group and gain quite a few levels and loot good items, but usually I am getting kicked or host leaving. Whenever I host it seems like no one wants to talk about what to do, which is essential since it adds difficulty with more players.

Any AT'ers play this game lots or have good set ups on maps thinking "if only I had DPS to watch" or "a builder to cover this crystal"? Anyone wish there was a way to set up a strategy, in the tavern before you even go to the map, including who can build the most efficient towers?

My brother and I play occasionally, and I have a friend or two that has it, but the times never seem to mesh.

Used to play DD extensively but the hacked gear kinda took out the point of grinding for items (had at least 3-4 chars maxed at 78 when it was top lvl) [had gear and could do misty/underwater map up to NM survival wave 23-25 solo and even farmed the chicken pet when they had the limited 40 humongous egg drops]. TrendyEnt is great but they can't do jack about their secure servers and they don't even want to hear it on their forums.

edit: Reddit has a huge DD player base and tips/setups for the maps. You can try there.

I am a tower mage which has optimized my tower set up pretty dang good, but I stopped playing (level 74 or something I am?) because of the idiot-holes that I keep encountering. I would like to actually play with intelligent decent folks, DPS dealers with me would be awesome.
