Just a little introduction to the game for any people who have never heard of, or played, the game before: http://store.steampowered.com/app/65800/

Dungeon Defenders is an action RPG Tower Defense hybrid that does both elements right on so many levels. At its core, it's a tower defense strategy game, but you control one of many different characters who all have very unique towers and skills to add to the mix.

Now onto the reason I made this thread. I'm not sure if anyone here plays Dungeon Defenders or if there are any old players who put the game away after the final Eternia Shards update (Sky City/Crystalline Dimension), but I'm hoping this will stir up some new (and hopefully some old) players. There have been three major updates since the final Crystalline Dimension update including new maps, many new items (including new event items), new enemies, and many many new features and bugfixes. The latest update can be found here: https://dungeondefenders.com/1/blog/137375/the-rising-phoenix-update-is-now-released. So far, we have a new Moonbase map (which Trendy constantly promised us was coming), Buccaneer's Bay, and now we have Embermount Volcano.

Basically, the new updates have revived a great - but dying - game and injected new life into the dying community. There is still more to be added for the game and the Community Development Team is seeking input on the new updates as well as bug reports. Here's hoping there's some old players at AT and here's hoping we can get some new players into the mix as well.

I actually logged in this past weekend to check things out. I noticed some new things and joined a few games to help people out. I still have late game geared tower builders for every class and a fully geared DPS character. Unfortunately I have no memory of any builds that I used to do nor do I have to desire to learn brand new maps lol.

Ill keep giving it a try. Maybe one day Ill jump back in after over 4k hours...

I'm pushing past 2k hours currently and I'll jump in to help the groups and new players every now and then.

I highly suggest playing it on the PC. The console versions were never updated properly and it took some time, but end-game gear and maps are finally balanced rather well. Loot quality (and quantity) have been increased substantially so it's a bit easier to find end-game gear now.
