I want to buy this book but am unsure about the size difference between Hardcover and Mass Market Paperback Editions. Can someone clarify if the former is any bigger than the latter and if so, by how much? I don't want to spend $14 CDN more for same size book with just a hardcover.

I know that, but I want to know if the Hardcover is larger than the MMPB. I checked Amazon and it dosen't tell me.

Perhaps the same size as the Snow Crash novel which is quite big.

Same text, the story isn't abridged for the paperback if that's what you mean by size....

Page size I mean. A bigger book, with bigger pages.

My Dune hardcover is 6.125" x 9.25".
It is, though, the first Putnam edition, from 1984 ;)

Why wouldn't it be? All the paperbacks I own are smaller than the equivalent hardcovers that I own.

Only time I've seen softcovers of similar size of the hardcover edition is when you get the large print version. Otherwise the softs are smaller.
